HAWKSBILL. Hawksbill is located 140' above Great Cruz Bay in a beautiful, semi private and quiet location with magnificent ocean views framed by lush coconut palms. The impressive views sweep 270 degrees and include Hart Bay, Chocolate Hole Bay, Great Cruz Bay, Cruz Bay, and the fabled Caribbean sunsets. This villa sits above one of St. John's most beautiful hillside gardens and you can pick fresh bouquets every day from the scores of bougainvillea and other tropical plants that cascade down the hillside. Hawksbill is very convenient, being 2 minutes from a beach and tennis, and 5 minutes from the restaurants and boutiques of Cruz Bay.

LIVING/DINING/KITCHEN. The living room is surrounded on 2 sides by an L shaped deck. The 9 French doors with arched windows are beautiful to look at and also open to create a pleasurable indoor/outdoor environment. Light rose colored floors, honey wicker furniture, white French doors, vivid blue ocean views, and the sound of palm fronds rustling in the gentle breeze create a romantic and relaxing environment. When you sit in this room and watch the palms sway and feel the gentle soothing tradewinds, you'll say to yourself, "I'm in heaven and all is at peace on earth."

Guests may dine inside at the glass topped rattan table seating 4-6 or outside on the pool deck at the umbrella table seating 6-8 or the poolside table, seating 4.

The centrally located kitchen presents a crisp cooking and socializing environment with all the white cabinets trimmed in mahogany and cobalt blue tile. It is well equipped with a 4 burner gas stove, D/W, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, double sink, toaster, blender, coffeemaker and a very complete and tasteful set of china, dinnerware, cooking utensils and kitchen tools and equipment. The owners of this villa enjoy cooking and the kitchen reflects this. A telephone, gas BBQ, iron and ironing board are included.

SITTING ROOM: The view from the sitting room overlooks the blue Caribbean and a hillside of hundreds of red, orange, purple and white flowers. A white wicker couch and chair face an antique pine armoire which contains a 25" cable color TV/VCR and stereo with cassette and CD.

BEDROOMS.The 2 bedrooms (king and queen size beds) are similar in size and furnishings, and each has a tiled private bath. Both are decorated in a very charming tropical decor, including lace curtains that billow softly with the gentle tradewinds. Opening windows and ceiling fans provide excellent ventilation and both bedrooms are located on the North side of the house to keep them cool and comfortable.

MANAGEMENT COMMENTS. Hawksbill was entirely remodeled in 2003 and our staff voted it one of St. John's "most likely to please" villas. They're right, this is a very attractive, enjoyable and yet affordable 2 bedroom villa. Its attributes include: classic styling with native stonework, French doors, arched windows and cathedral ceilings; tasteful tropical furnishings; an inviting and relaxing interior decor; beautiful landscaping; a pool and a convenient yet semi-private location.
