It's an exceptional spot that enjoys excellent privacy and peace and quiet, and yet it's a 3-4 minute walk to a white sand beach, swimming in calm Caribbean waters, boating, spa treatments and a good fitness club (all at the Westin Resort). For dining options, it's an easy walk to a beach side restaurant/bar under swaying palms, or walk to elegant evening dining in two of St. John's finer restaurants. Tennis Villa sits on a large lot on the peninsula that separates Great Cruz Bay Harbor from Chocolate Hole Harbor, with picturesque views of both harbors. Great Cruz Bay is a well-established and desirable neighborhood that consists mostly of expensive residential villas.

Design. As with the location, the design of this graceful villa is also unique. Completed in 1995, the one-story custom design is child friendly, spacious and comfortable. No St. John villa combines this much space and privacy with such easy access to so many activities and amenities. Tennis Villa consists of a 3 bedroom/3 bath great house plus a 1 bedroom/1 bath detached pool house. The great house contains a truly gourmet kitchen and tastefully furnished living and dining areas, while the pool house overlooks the all weather surface tennis court. The arched doorways of the living area of the great house flow into a large garden courtyard that encircles a 43- foot pool. The south-facing courtyard gets all day sun and affords privacy and sunset views. A charming 3- bedroom/3 bath guest cottage, (Tennis Cottage), is also located on this property but it is totally separate and hidden from view from the great house. The 2-story Cottage has its own private entrance and a kitchen, living areas, decks and a roman spa. Tennis Villa or the Cottage can be rented alone, or in combination.

Kitchen. This fabulous kitchen is definitely a gourmet's delight. It is usually well equipped and includes: a 6 burner Wolf gas range with griddle and hood, standard and convection ovens plus a microwave oven, 3 white ceramic double sinks, 2 refrigerator freezers, toaster, blender and complete cookware, china and glassware. A washer/dryer is located off the kitchen and a gas barbecue grill is on the patio. A 2- line telephone with a dedicated fax/modem line is also provided. This is one of the best kitchens to be found in a rental home and it will easily handle a large group.

Bedrooms. The four air conditioned bedrooms, (2 kings, 4 twins that convert to 2 kings) and the 4 adjoining baths are comparable in size and furnishings. In order to insure sound and visual privacy there are no common walls between the bedrooms. Each bedroom has abundant closet space, tasteful furnishings and an attached tiled bath.

Living Areas. The comfortable living room contains 3 large arched doorways that are framed by stately columns and beautiful native stonework. Sliding glass screened doors recess into wall pockets and extend the living room onto the expansive garden patio and pool area. The arched doors open to gentle breezes and scenic harbor views and combine with cathedral ceilings and tropical furniture to create a relaxing summertime setting. Cable color TV/VCR, stereo with CD and cassette and a regulation pool table are included.

Caribbean Villas' View. Without a doubt, Tennis Villa offers the finest villa amenities and activities package on St. John. In addition to a private tennis court, the in-house amenities include a 43 foot pool, a/c in all bedrooms and a regulation pool table. If you also rent Tennis Cottage, you can include a roman spa, and if you walk to the Westin Resort, you can include a sandy beach, 3 restaurants, spa treatments, shopping and a good fitness room. Even without its "best amenities" distinction, Tennis Villa would rank as a very appealing villa in an upscale and desirable residential neighborhood. But with its superb combination of vacation amenities and comforts, Tennis Villa earns a rating as one of St. John's most unique and enjoyable vacation homes. This house has something for everybody; it's a genuine crowd pleaser and is ideal for family functions, couples, small business functions and guests who value the features of a hotel and the privacy and comforts of a luxury home.

Tennis Villa can be rented alone as a 4 bedroom or it can be rented with the Cottage as a 7 bedroom estate.
